Pet animals can't really be said to be "endangered" -- that's a word used to talk about wild animals. Netherland dwarf rabbits certainly aren't endangered. If anything, they're overpopulated: consider the fact that some are killed in shelters because there's no room for them! In some regions, Netherand dwarfs may be more difficult to find than in other regions. Sometimes it just depends on who's breeding what nearby you. But if you live in the UK or North America, you should be able to find a Netherand dwarf to adopt, as they're rather common.
I don't think so because lot's of people have them as pets you see. Also, every time I go to a pet shop most of the time there is dwarf hamsters on sale!
