Classifying "emos" as being depressed is a stupid and stereotypical, being an "emo" is a reflection of the music you listen to and your sence of style.. people like to make a relationship between being depressed and being an emo, because of the generally sad and suicidal lyrics related in certain emo songs. Depression is a serious disorder and should not be classifyed with being an "emo", as you may know not all "emos"are depressed, and not all people who are depressed are "emos".
Emo individuals are not inherently more depressed than others. Emo subculture may attract individuals struggling with mental health issues due to its emphasis on emotion and expression. It's important to remember that mental health issues can affect anyone, regardless of their subcultural affiliations.
Well it's because they possibly have a condition with emotional problems. They may, not have a good family... maybe one that doesn't respect them or treat them right. there could be may reasons everyone is different.
Don't make fun of them because they have a condiition or because they are what people call "emo" also please don't judge them. They're people to and deserve respect :D
usually sad or random or hyper like me! EMOS act like themselves. nothing more.^_^. the real answer of how emo acts are their emotions but emos dont show their emotion when it isn't needed they show it if it is let's say if their sad they will talk to someone about it and show alot of emos thought ^0^
Emo is a subgenre of punk music that originated in the 1980s, characterized by confessional lyrics and an emotional, expressive style. Emo is also associated with a particular fashion style and subculture that embraces emotional self-expression.
Some do. But not all. It's stereotyping emos to say that they all do. Just because some people don't know what emos are, and they just assume they all do. But some do cut themselves. It's up to them do decide if they want to cut themselves or not.
Yes, emos can wear gray tight jeans. Emo fashion is characterized by tight-fitting clothing, so gray tight jeans would be a suitable choice for someone who identifies with the emo subculture.
It is difficult to determine which country has the most emos as the emo subculture is present in many countries around the world. Emo culture transcends national boundaries and can be found in various countries.
We're not always depressed, just in touch with our emotional side.
no. they are lively people. they just look depressed in some of there pics :D.
Of course not. The idea that all emos are depressed unto death is a generalization, and a very negative stereotype.no, they don't
YES, they can also be happy, sad, and stuff like that. Believe it or not emos are not ALWAYS depressed, you can be happy and mad but still be emo.
People (non-Emos) think that Emos overreact about little problems in their life. They think Emos think they have bigger problems than everyone else and are spoiled, depressed people that deserve to die. Those people just don't understand that Emos do what they do to help themselves cope.
Of course not. I highly doubt that depression makes people emo
No you donβt have to be interested in cutting yourselves they do it if they want to or are in a depressed mood
Hey if you are depressed and every thing is bad in life who cares be who you want to be
well, emos are depressed,so they won't want to do anything with you much. They will often feel like their parents don't really care or understand them.
No because if your a wanna be then you think emo is cutting your self its enot (well some emos do but you dont have to) some people do that because their under steerse or w/e but they are other ways to not cut your self and feel better so all you emo that cut your self sont just find a better way that you wont hurt your slef!!!!
Because it is a thing some emo people do, but other stereotypes (most of the time) don't. Cutting is also a way of letting yourself go, hurting yourself so that you wouldn't feel that bad mentally, emotionally. And emos are quite depressed, so sadness, pain, heartbreak and cutting are words related to the stereotype.
Emos yes. Goths not so much.
