They think that they may have found the site on which the city was built, but this is just an estimated area, as there were several cities built on top.<br>However, if the war was a real one, then it is assumed that inter-Greece warring would still continue on for centuries as is what happened anyways.

There is archeological evidence to support a historic "Trojan War" though if the events were linked to the stories, no one can say for sure yet. Records would have to be found on-site to link such into "reality".
