How does seafloor spreading results in new oceanic crust?

As the seafloor spreads apart, magma from the mantle inside the earth bubbles up to the ocean and hardens in the cool temperatures, producing new oceanic crust

This archipelago enjoys a wet oceanic climate with pleasant temperatures. Frost does not occur below 1,600 feet, and summer temperatures are relatively mild.

What methamorphic rock forms at very high pressures but moderately low temperatures associated with subduction of oceanic crust and sediments?

Biotite marble

Oceanic-Oceanic.

Is photosynthesis limited to the well-lit upper layer of the ocean which scientists refer to as the oceanic zone?

False, it's the Photic Zone.

What would be expected to result from a collision between a continental lithospheric plate and a oceanic lithospheric plate?

Typically the less dense continental plate would stay afloat while the denser oceanic plate would be submerged below. This can result in volcanic eruptions at the subduction zone due to oceanic crust undergoing increased pressure and temperatures as it descends below the continental crust.

an oceanic trench

What is an example of a oceanic oceanic convergent boundary?

an oceanic trench

Is oceanic oceanic convergence?

oceanic convergence is when two oceanic plates subduct beneath one another.

Differences between oceanic-oceanic and oceanic-continental subduction boundary?

Oceanic to oceanic- one plate sinks under the other Oceanic- Continental ocean crust sinks under the other

What happens at deep ocean trenches?

At some points, the oceanic crust bends downward and forms a deep-ocean trench. Then the oceanic crust sinks back into the mantle through a process called subduction.

What is oceanic and oceanic?

The continental crust is the land. The oceanic is under the ocean.
