HAHA i dont think so. Drinking too much water doesn't give you gas but overdoing the water drinking can cause drowning yourself.

Yes this sort of food is fine for them, and fresh drinking water should ALWAYS be available. There is no amount on how much they should or shouldn't be drinking, let them have as much as they want. If they are drinking excessively get them to a vet they could need worming treatment.
