Something is broken. It's most likely a databus problem.
Start by checking the fuses.
Next, if you or anyone else has been inside the dashboard recently, make sure the Instrument Panel Cluster is plugged in and the wiring isn't physically damaged.
Next, use a real scan tool (not a codereader or OTC scan tool) to check for communication at each control module and to check for codes in any module you can communicate with. Pay special attention to codes starting with the letter 'U'.
It is also possible you may have multiple unrelated problems. Have you been ignoring one problem for a while and then when something else cam up have you chosen to assume it's all the same thing?
You might have a damaged wiring harness somewhere. Have you run up on any curbs lately or run over any objects or people?
Also consider a bad battery, loose connection at the battery, or alternator putting out voltage that is out of range?
