The giant panda is reducing in numbers because of the encroachment of civilization on its habitat and the loss of its food supply. The giant panda is also a slow breeder so that population decreases Ike the latest storm in China can take years to overcome even under the best of conditions.

pandas are not extinct but they are endangered. They are endangered because people are cutting down forests and that is where the pandas live. So now there are very few pandas in the world
