Not all people are addicted to fat foods. I'm not, my entire family is not. If you mean HOW people get addicted to fat foods than your answer would be just like any other addiction, psychological and physical addiction.

∙ 10y agoIt actually goes back to genetics and evolution. Primitive people knew nothing about nutrition, they just ate what was available.
Our bodies are programmed to crave sweets because as carbs, they provide energy.
Our craving for salt makes sure we get enough of it because it is an essential mineral that our bodies need.
And the craving for fat is, again, to make sure that our bodies get enough of it in order to function properly.
Note that this is more applicable to primitive man than modern man.
Today, fast food restaurants and makers of junk food take advantage of those built in cravings to sell us their products.
Another part of the equation goes back to your childhood and the foods that you ate then. Many of us have favorite comfort foods from childhood that may be a combination of fat, salty or sweet.
