Catholics bury their dead for the same reason other people bury their dead. After a few days they begin to decay and raise quite a stink, not to mention the possibility of being a source of disease.
Basic reasons: Dead body doesn't have any immunity. So it generates bacteria and other germs which are harmful. Hence, for hygiene purpose, it needs some attention. Options are (a) Use body parts as we do when human kills animals and let the unusable part for scavengers (b)cannibalism- which most animals in nature also don't do (c) bury them so it gets decomposed without air. Bacteria and other forces in earth will decompose body (d) throw body in water- sea/ river etc.. so it can be used up by watercreators (e)cremate the body
Option (a) and (b) are not civilized options..
(c) Burial is most widely used by Christian,Muslimsand Jews.
(e)Cremationis used byHindusand Buddhist.
Because when they start to rot their body smell wont go father then 6 feet that's why
God has made man from clay. The body is nothing without the soul. After death, all are meant to be buried where the bodies will merge with the soil again.
Respect for the fallen. So their spirit may rest in peace. R.I.P.
In a wooden box or nothing
More probably in four coffins: two of mahogany, one of lead, and one of iron.
A crypt is a repository for coffins; it serves a similar purpose to a graveyard but the coffins are not buried underground, they are stored in a room.
To confine the dead body, plus, when the body is buried it stops the body being eaten or rotting.
I do not know of any US President that was buried in such a way.
Because when people would be buried they would bury them only 3ft. so when it would rain the coffins would wash up from the ground. So that is why they bury people 6ft. deep.
Yes. In some cases, the coffins were protected with iron cages surrounding them, to prevent grave robbers from stealing fresh bodies.
Coffins are available for people of any size.
Coffins are used for putting dead people in when they are dead and not alive.
If you were a king you got buried in more than slaves, King Tut got buried in 8 along with 1,450 pairs of underwear.
Of course!
Mainly dead people.
