I think that you are referring to the Aryans, who were Indo-European invaders who conquered India about 1,500 B.C. They were nomads who entered India from the northwest. They came from Central Asia, most likely from what is now Iran or Afghanistan. They were either white or at least fair skinned. They were war-like and overran the Dravidian civilization that existed in India. They brought with them their own culture and language (Sanskrit). Modern Hindi is derived from it. They established the Caste system in India with themselves as Brahmins, the highest caste. The Dravidians made up the lower castes. They must have settled mostly in northern India as the people are lighter in complexion than the people of southern India. Even today. And Hindi is spoken in the north. In the south they have many other languages. The people who were conquered were mostly farmers and lived in towns. I hope that this has been a help to you.
The Constituent Assembly of India strongly believed that the lower caste people who were deprived of the rights of education, social status, etc should be given a chance to enter the main stream of society. Hence they introduced the reservation concept in the constitution. It was to be continued for maybe 10 or 15 years ( exact time frame) initially. Then it should be reviewed by the government. But the subsequent governments didn't abolish( OR lift) the same as they emphasize on caste politics.
China's GDP is $11.29 trillion (2011 est.) India's GDP is $4.463 trillion ( 2011 est.) Therefore no. India have a lower GDP than China. kingboy190 :)
Over time, Hinduism organized India's society into groups called castes. A caste is a social class based on a person's ancestry. Under such a system, people are born into a particular caste, which determines the jobs they can hold and whom they can marry. The Caste System still influences Indian life, although laws now forbid unfair treatment of "lower" castes.

Upon his return to India from South Africa, Gandhi observed the injustices that were perpetrated on India's poorest classes or "untouchables." As a result, he began his non-violent civil disobedience campaign because he believed the lower castes were human beings who were children of God, and therefore entitled to respect.
during ancient times higher castes of Hindus used to go to Gurukul aka schools. While lower castes were banned from learning.

The five castes, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Epsilon, distinguish each other based on several factors. First and foremost, each caste wears a different color. Alphas wear gray, Betas wear mulberry, Gammas wear green, Deltas wear khaki, and Epsilons wear black. Also, lower castes are given less oxygen as developing infants, making members of lower castes shorter, and in the case of the Deltas and Epsilons, more physically misshapen and stupid. It is because of these mental shortcomings that lower castes do factory work and upper castes hold jobs such as Directors, Psychiatrists, and Songsters.
