Star Trek spawned a generation of keen scientific minds to take some of the fictional inventions of Star Trek for example the Automatic Door and make it reality. Most people when asked would probably want an answer to the question are we alone in the Universe, and Star Trek gives us hope and perhaps inspiration for the next generation to come up with methods of uniting man kind in a common goal of bettering themsleves and exploring the universe.

This is currently unkown, but with the release of the new Star Trek film J.J. Abrams has essentially given artistic licence to rewrite the Star Trek history book given what happens in the film. So there may be the possibility of a redevlopment and rebirth of Star Trek.
If you mean "Trek History" (not real life) the "Star Trek Enterprise" series gave its first stardate as 2151 and "Star Trek (The Original Series) gave its stardate as 2265 - so about 100 years. (Timelines from Trek Encyclopedia). In real history, Star Trek (TOS) ran from 1966 - 1969 and Star Trek Enterprise ran from 2001 - 2005.
None, of them are interested in Star Trek.

In the fictional universe that is Star Trek, Earth has devloped a society that does not use money. People work to better themselves and man kind in a quest to further understand themselves and the univerese around them. So in the Star Trek Universe the Enterprise has no cost.
I'm sorry to say, but no one can predict what Star Trek will be rated. Every time a new Star Trek movie came out all the fans always said "Star Trek Lives" however, Star Trek never really died so I do not understand this. No one can predict what Star Trek will be rated however, the movie reviews were never good...because reviewers know nothing about Scifi or Star Trek and they therefore cannot logically rate it. I rate the upcoming Star Trek 11 a 9/10 for the Advertisements. (It loses 1 point because Zachary Quinto plays Spock...and as a Spock fan I believe only Leonard Nimoy should play Spock..)
The most recent to star William Shatner as Captain Kirk was Star Trek VI. Although William Shatner appeared in Star Trek VII he was officially retired and had been declared dead years earlier so his rank technically no longer applied.
