Because we allow anyone to ask and answer questions on our site, and don't want to discriminate against people who have great answers because of any differences in expertise about grammar, spelling, etc. We also allow anyone to correct grammar and spelling errors, so hopefully things get fixed Behind the Scenes as we go.
