Vascular have a system that is intricate and the plant can move water to distribute it to the whole plant. Vascular plants are able to grow bigger due to this ability.

Ex: Trees, flowers

Nonvascular plants are usually small plants that are close to the ground. They do not have a very complex water distribution and for this reason cannot support large growth.

Ex: moss

Hope this helped!

Seeds can be spread a long distance away from the parent plant by the wind, water, or even animals. A plant that reproduced by rhizomes or the like, would only be able to spread a very short distance from the parent plant, and therefore have limited dispersion and be more or less stuck where it is.

Seed plants are more common than plants with no seeds because seeds are the easiest way for a plant to propagate and spread. For example birds have to eat the seed of the cucumber magnolia and poop them out in order for the seeds to germinate. Something in the bird's stomach (acid) dissolves the seed coat and it's able to start a new tree once it comes out the other end and hits the ground at the right time. Other seeds are eaten by birds and then the birds fly miles and miles before they crap the seeds back out onto the ground, growing plants and trees miles away from where the seed actually came from. Another good example is the structure of the seeds. Dandelion seeds are a perfect example; they are caught by the wind and float a ways before settling down into the grass and seeding itself. Seeds are pointed on one end sometimes to ensure penetration into hard ground.

In small plants, materials can simply move from one cell to the next. But larger plants need a more efficient way to transport materials farther, from one part of the plant to another. These plants have transporting tissue called vascular tissue. Vascular tissue is a system of tube-like structures inside a plant through which water, minerals, and food move.

Because these are better adapted to cope up with the present day environmental conditions.
