because they have inner organs that keep them alive and they reproduce and they have a heart the organ heart not the valentine heart.

Australia parted from the other continents a while before the other continents parted

the animals on Australia at that time to now had more time to evolve differently than the animals of the rest of the world. Strange animals such as the platypus, and the Tasmanian devil. I hope this helped
