Fossil fuel power plants are bad for the environment because they produce greenhouse gases, deplete our fossil energy supply, and maintain/increase our dependence on imported oil and gas. They also produce radioactivity - much to some people's surprise - often more than nuclear plants - because they depend on combustion of uranium (radium, thorium, etc.) bearing fuels.
Nuclear power plants, on the other hand, are environmentally and ecologically sound, having a smaller risk to benefit ratio. Yes, there have been some bad accidents, but the global picture is that these accidents have been blown out of proportion. Politically, they are a problem, but they are a bigger part of the solution as well.
well, wave power is a renewable energy source so it is far better for the environment. it doesn't have an impact - it isn'tgreat for the environment but it isn't bad either. therefore referring back tot the question, no, it does NOT have an impact on our precious environment at all.
It is bad because it can cause Cancer or Leukemia. It is also bad because it lives in a plantation witch is bad because people will think it is safe and under control but it isn't and they will get cancer or Leukemia.
You have to have power plants because without them we would not have enough power =)
Efficiency of power plants is usually measured as a ratio of the total amount of electrical power produced divided by the total amount of heat generated, expressed as a percentage. Thus, if a power plant produces 100 MWh thermal, and this is converted to 38 MWh of electricity, the plant is 38% efficient. Most power plants are 35% to 40% efficient. This is true for nuclear as well as fossil fuel plants. Some plants are much more efficient. A natural gas plant, used in a situation with cogeneration, can be as much as 65% efficient. The lost heat is put into the environment and is referred to as thermal pollution.
The Sun heats plants, animals eat plants, and we eat the animals.
Yes they are bad they might need over 200 nuclear power plants in 2030 so people that see this use less eletricity and get solar panels if you can
Electricity itself is naturally occurring in the environment and does not do significant damage except in instances of lightning strikes. However, human methods of generating electricity to provide power do cause harm to the environment. To name a few, coal and natural gas burning power plants release carbon dioxide and toxins into the air, and nuclear power plants create harmful radioactive wastes.
Just about all power plants have a negative effect on the environment however, if a nuclear power plant is run properly it has a chance of not polluting the environment almost at all.
from the process of the coal getting into electricty
power plants fueled by fossil fuels
it can cause wastelands and contamination to the environment
Harmful.

It depends, if you are a hippy i guess it will be good if you hate the environment its probably bad
Geothermal power is a kind of renewable energy that; as other renewable energies; doesn't add much pollution to the environment. It is good source of energy. The problem is that not all countries have this source of power. The other problem is that geothermal power plants are usually of small power ratings.
what makes it so bad is that the steam from the jet is making all the animals and plants die.
that it make a lot of pollution and kills some types of plants
