recessive alleles get masked to show the difference

in a dominant gene and a recessive gene. the dominate

genes masks the recessive genes to show that the dominate

gene is more dominate or more likely to be the outcome than

the reccessive gene but the masked gene is not always recessive.

Recessive Alleles are only expressed when there are two of them present. This is because when a recessive allele is present with a dominant allele it dominates over the recessive allele. Two different alleles cannot be expressed at one time.
