Revolutions are usually violent because of the mass disapproval of both citizen and government. As you may know they both have a goal, and for the citizens its to be able to live peacefully and have a righteous life while the government usually wants to get all the money and rule the country easily while living a splendid life. In that case their are rulers who have somewhat tactical solutions to solve things, Maximilian Robespierre from the committee of public safety wanted things the way he wanted it, plain and simple so his way off keeping the country to his standard was to kill all the people who were against his ideas. This led to people wanting to fight back. As for many other countries when a revolution happens all they can do is fight since they usually don't got any money. So when violent occurs sometimes it does actually work they can fight for they want. Does are some of the reasons why revolutions usually have violence.
Because peaceful revolutions do not usually get the job done. Some people believe violence is necessary to get the point across properly.
