There are amazing things you can find in a locker hahah. Alot of people hide drugs, weapons, and other dangerous stuff in their locker. A few years ago, I was walking down the hall and saw some adults all crowded (with a boy standing behind them) around a locker and they pulled out a few bags full of weed. So, that's why they're searching :/

Invasion of the fourth amendment. Sorry i cant think of anything else.
Locker searches in schools can help maintain a safe and secure environment for students. They can deter and prevent the possession and distribution of illegal substances or dangerous items, such as weapons. Locker searches can also help identify and address bullying or other safety concerns.
CONS:you cant have naughty stuff in them, they might steal things PROS: are nothing

There is no specific percentage available regarding the number of locker searches conducted by the police in the US, as it can vary widely depending on jurisdiction and circumstances. The legality and frequency of such searches also differ based on the specific laws and regulations in each state.

The constitution says nothing about backpacks or locker searches (as backpacks and lockers were not overly common in 1783). There is an unwritten assumption of a right to privacy, and the US Supreme Court has established that based on the Amendment that the government cannot search without just cause, it is wrongful for the state to search. However, exceptions are made for schools. There is significant debate whether or not this view that schools are exempt from the Amendment is actually constitutional.
Schools have the legal right to search students if there is reasonable suspicion of a violation of school rules or laws. This can include searches of a student's belongings, locker, or person, but the search must be reasonable in scope and conducted by school officials.
