The reason why piranhas are going extinct is because they are carnivores. They eat meat and other iron filled speciments. The water they live in only have fish and other fish like creatures. The piranhas do not eat these fish because they are not the right type of nutrient filled meat. Thus this is why piranhas are going extinct.
