Mammals are a form of animal life that have either fur and / or hair, breathe air and have mammary glands. They also give birth to live offspring, as opposed to offspring in eggs.

Dolphins don't have fur or hair and they are mammals.

Mammals give birth to live ofspring and the mother sustains them with milk while they are in infancy, before weaning them onto their adult diet. The name mammal comes from mammary, the female gland which provides the young with milk.
