The color of a tank should never be considered an indicator of contents. There is no regulation in the U.S. regarding the color of compressed gas tanks. You should rely on knowing where the tank came from, what it was used for, and the label affixed near the valve to judge its content.
The question mentions oxygen, so if this tank has been used medically and has a label affixed indicating oxygen, be especially careful as this is likely to be pure oxygen and very flammable if handled incorrectly.
Also keep in mind that not all oxygen is fit for human consumption, oxygen is used in many industrial and scientific applications, only medical grade oxygen is considered safe for inhalation, and must be down so with the proper mix and rate.
If you are unsure of the contents or the correct method of handling this tank you need to contact a compressed gas distributor to aid in identification you will likely receive a refund of your deposit when you return the tank.
When the tanks are full of water they force O2 out of the tanks. Once the tanks empty out the water they will fill with gasses that in the water such as O2 or Co2. These gasses are palpably less dense than water so the submarine rises. I hope that helps.
They take in O2 throught the stomata in their leaves and pump the O2 through the aerenchyma (air spaces) to the roots.
Chemicals aren't used to make O2 on board modern submarines; they use electrolysis to separate the Hydrogen and Oxygen in DI water, then store the O2 in tanks outside the pressure hull. The hydrogen is bled overboard as tiny bubbles (in the wine.... make me feel happy...make me feel fine).
2Pb + O2 ----->2PbO then 2PbO + O2 ------> 2PbO2 some mixed oxide will be formed also 2PbO + PbO2 ----->Pb3O4
N2H4 + O2 >> N2 + 2H2O ( for some reason the capitals will not remain when I click save )
There were alot of reasons, but the main one was that the cables in the O2 tanks didn't match up with the plugs and they couldn't cool the O2 down because they couldn't shut off the Heater. This lead to the explosion when the guy swirled the O2 tanks.

One of the Oxygen tanks (O2 Tank 2).
It is an instrument use to measure hydrocarbon gases when the tanks are in inerted condition when there is no O2 is present in the tank.
The water isn't yellow, it appears yellow because of the buildup on the tanks surface from calcium and other minerals in the water.
fish tanks
Generally they are red, black, white, yellow, or brown. It depends on what seahorse type you get as to what color it is, honestly. Mine was black and he turned yellow in different tanks.
Don't empty the holding tanks... i.e. crappers.
Do they now? Some tanks have certainly had rifled-barrelled guns.
Some were.
For local vendors who carry rain water barrels or tanks, it is best to look in the Yellow Pages or check with home improvement or farm supply stores. These containers are large, heavy, and bulky and therefore shipping can be expensive if they are ordered online. However, there are sites such as eTanks that offer them.
It is due to the presence of dissolved oxides of nitrogen.HNO3 Light > NO2 + O2 + H2O
