Because some people were not brought up in a religious family, but also were not brought up in a strongly atheist family, so they do not have an official religion but still agree that there is a possibility that some god or gods might exist.
The reason why some people are agnostic is because they feel that there has been no intervention in their life for the better. Therefore it leaves them to believe that their is no God, or that God is not looking out for them. There are others who say you can't prove that there is a God so they do not spend much time on it, to them it doesn't matter whether there is a God or not, there is no God in their life.
That isn't a simple question to answer. Not all agnostics necessarily believe the same things. So, some do, some don't.
Some of the people who do not believe in the Christian God or the Christian Bible include:AnimistsAtheists and agnostics (Agnostics accept the possibility that God may exist)BuddhistsDaoistsHindusJainsFollowers of ShintoZoroastriansMuslims believe in the same God as do Christians, but dispute the authority of the Bible, while accepting much of its content.
People who are unsure if God exists are known as agnostics.
Agnostics are people who believe what they see. They say that there is no god till it is not proved.
There are about 30% of the people in Wales that are Agnostics.. That is up from a 2001 survey when only 15% where considered Agnostic. Although to have an accurate percentage is difficult to measure because people can change their mind at any time.
There is no recognized 'leader' for agnostics. However, a fair number agnostics are also interested in secular reasoning and philosophy, so many of the great philosophers of the ages (Socrates, Hume, Kant, Descartes) are read and debated by some agnostics. There are also a number of vocal agnostics/atheists who are in the public limelight a great deal, including Richard Dawkins.
You seem to be lumping all agnostics together into one uniform mindset. The reality is that agnostics, like in almost any group of people, all have their own separate thoughts and opinions. So I'm afraid that your question really doesn't have much of an answer.
There is no reason to expect all agnostics to have the same answer to that. Obviously the world came to exist some way. If you believe you can explain exactly how and why, then your answer works for you. Your answer might not satisfy everyone.
Agnostics by their nature dont believe in anything as they feel they are not equiped to understand reality./
Around 12% of the population are agnostics; that equates to around 720 million people. However, a fair number of people who belong to various religions are actually agnostic - its been estimated that 17% of Church of England ministers are actually agnostic, so perhaps roughly 1000 million people are agnostics.
Any of the above I would think, but I've met some who were deists.
Agnostics do not believe anything about God. Agnostics do not believe in any type of religion.
