The writers want a percent of revenues made online. Right now, the studios are showing shows online, and taking advertisers' money, but not giving the writers any (or much). The studios claim there is no money in online video, but at the same time they are investing a ton in it. It isn't worth much now, but if online streaming shows takes off, the writers would be screwed.
