The Jonas brothers released their first studio album, It's About Time, in the summer of 2006. Columbia Records was the record company who signed the Jonas Brothers and helped them produce this album. After opening for many acts, Columbia Records believed that the Jonas Brothers would have no further potential and promptly dropped them from their label. However, Hollywood Records saw much more potential in these 3 talented young men and decided to take them under their wing. As you may know, Hollywood Records is associated with Disney Channel and their associates. Seeing that the boys also had some previous acting gigs on Broadway and on many different television commericals, Hollywood Records sent them over to Disney CHannel executives who already knew the boys quite well. (Their Music Videos had been playing on Disney Channel for a few months.) The boys got a guest apperance on the Disney Channel series, Hannah Montana, thus beginning the era of Jonas. Mind you I didn't look up any of this information. I know it from my extensive research of the Jonas Brothers. Also, they are not owned by Disney, they are produced and managed by Disney.
