The polar bear.
the Arctic fox is endangered in the tundra, but not world wide. Wolves were recently removed the endangered species list and therefore are no longer an endangered species of the Tundra.
These animals are endangered because of our carelessness. Also, they are endangered because every few years the earth's climate changes. Right now, we are going through a time period in which the world is becoming hotter. The glaciers and ice are melting. We need to do whatever we can to help these animals.
First of all, their "private" fur is at least 2 inches thick, therefore making it possible to adapt to the environment. If you have any more questions, please ask me... Thank you,
An Animal Behaviourist
That is true; however, the answer is more diverse and needs to be expanded on. Animals that live in the Tundra do not necessarily live there year around. Some, such as water fowl, i.e. ducks & geese and similar species, leave when winter comes and fly thousands of miles south to warmer climates, while others (e.g. Caribou, Moose & Reindeer) move southerly to less severe weather conditions but they still live in very cold environments even in the winter. Then, of course, their are many animals and birds which do not leave the Tundra in the winter (e.g. Grizzly Bears, Fox, Ravens & ground squirrel's) by either growing a winter coat of fur, heavy under feather coats, also digging homes in the ground or snow or sleeping the winter in these under ground/snow homes, sometimes refered to as dens. But, during the spring, summer and early fall the Tundra abounds with life and the animals live well with an abundance of food and others of their species...

what are some of the tundra adaptation for animals
A threat to the tundra biome would include global warming or pollution. Both of these can cause the ice to melt and change the biome completely.
Permafrost and dirt and grime are environmental problems in the tundra biome.

ADAPTATION
Adaptations
There is a surprising rich food supply in the tundra. The lynx is an efficient hunter that catches the rabbits, ptarmigan and other small animals that population the desolate area.
Animals in the tundra interact by making noises and movement
Its helps them survive by being able to signal other animals if there in danger and also it attracts attention.
The animals adapt to the harsh changes in climate over time. (:animals survive the tundra because they have blubber. and most animals camouflage into the eviornment. They evolved to.
They can hunt animals to survive.
the soil
Elks, reindeer and animals like these that can survive very cold climates live in the tundra.
In general, they don't.
there is not a lot of water.. therefore the plants dont survive and the animals also do not survive.
small shrubs and little trees live in the alpine tundra and the animals that live there are bears, eagles, and possibly owls. hope that helps!
Yes, they have to hunt tem for dinner.

Animals that live in the Tundra tend to either make their habitats underground, or in caves. They need shelter from the very cold temperatures that are there.
animals
Animals need thick coats to survive in the cold temperatures and often have a protective coloring to hide from predators.
