Because they are so far away, we cannot see them very well, even with our best telescopes, and we have not sent probes to their surfaces, if they have surfaces. Gas giants like the outer planets may not have any stable surface, just thicker and thicker atmospheres. The huge amount of energy needed to send objects to the other planets makes it expensive to try to find out what they are like.
Studying the earth helps scientists to understand other planets since the earth is part of the solar system. Scientists use the features of the earth to compare them with what other planets hold.
It can help by them comparing and contrasting.
The third most distant planet from the sun is Earth. It orders from Mercury, Venus and then Earth. The answer would then be Tellurium. The planets that orbit the sun are constantly moving in orbit and therefore getting closer and further apart from each other. Therefore, the third most distant planet from the Earth is changing as the years pass. For a complete list of elements named after planets, seehttp://wiki.answers.com/What_elements_are_named_after_a_planet
In this galaxy, only Earth for humans. Mars may once have had life, but it is not habitable to humans. Astronomers and scientists have found planets somewhat similar to Earth, but they may not have all the conditions necessary for humans. We still know very little about these planets.
Because you study earth and science and astronomy is study of stars and planets. So I think astronomers are a scientist of earth dont you!:)

not a clue
We may possibly know how Earth was created.
It can help by them comparing and contrasting.
So far - Earth
Light years are used to measure distance from Earth to distant stars and planets.
They believe the planets formed from a disc of gas and dust called a "protoplanetary disc".
We do not know. So far, organic molecules have been located on planets and in distant stars, but this is not proof that organic life exists there.
A progam to study Earth by using satellites in the same way that scientists study other planets.

Scientists are still bringing stuff back to earth from other planets to look at but, from the information we have now we say that only 1 planet has life. That planet is Earth.
no because scientists think that earth is the only planet in the universe that supports life :3
