The grizzly is a race of the brown bear, and brown bears are not endangered. Some grizzly populations were exterminated, such as in Mexico and California, and in Utah and Nevada, but the inland brown bear (grizzly) is holding its own in most places.
Grizzly bears are wide ranging and require large areas of undisturbed habitat. Their population decline is primarily associated with excessive mortality and habitat loss from human encroachment. Oil and gas development, recreational development, improper livestock grazing, poaching, excessive roaded access, and poorly designed timber harvest are factors responsible for the grizzlies' threatened status. i dont know the answer to that but i do know why people kill grizzly bears........People kill grizzly bears because they believe them to be highly dangerous and aggressive. Which is true, however only when they are provoked or they feel their young are in danger. If you leave them alone and keep away from their offspring then they will not attack. Therefore, people kill grizzly bears (Brown bears) because they are mislead to believe the worst about them. From: Shilo Kim JohnsonRead more: Why_people_kill_grizzly_bears
