While it may seem that supervisor are very serious and uptight, actually we are not. But let's face it, there are over one million visitors to the site every day and there are a lot of these visitors who love to trash the site.
There are comparatively few supervisors so we really don't have time to beg you to be nice. Since we are trying very hard to keep the site safe, clean, and tidy, we ask you to change your ways. If we do so, we think that you might become a very useful contributor, helping us do our jobs better. If you do, someday you might also become a supervisor and then you will see that we have a very large job to do and very little time to do it in.
We do try to be nice, but sometimes you can do a lot of damage very quickly...and it takes a lot of extra time to fix it. Time we could use answering questions or catching bad guys here. So look at it this way...If we ask you to do it right, we think that you might become a good contributor, maybe even a premier answerer or a supervisor.
So please...do it our way, huh? What can it hurt?
