Which engine? There are 3 different engine sizes and yes they have different filters. I highly suggest that if you have a 5.7L engine you let the dealer do it. ( talk to a service manager first before you try it, you will be shocked to find out what you have to go through to change that oil filter.) Also the transmission is the same way ( don't try to service it your self, add tranny oil) on the 5.7 engine there is NO tranny dip stick. It's designed to go 100,000 before servicing.
I own a 2008 5.7 L Tundra I know!
5.7L ENGINE Only: You Will need a special tool to remove the Oil filter, it's ONLY available from Snap-on tools. Toyota makes it impossible to do this yourself.
You have to start by dropping the skid plate, then locate the oil box. (4 bolts) remove it and find the paper oil filter ( special tool needed ) replace the filter and if you put the special cover on wrong it will leak oil all over when you start the engine. ( VOID WARRANTY HERE)
Believe me you don't want to do this yourself. I am not joking. This is why you can't find any photos or instructions in your Owners Manual about the oil filter or transmission dip stick!
Fuel filter is located on Driver's side of engine compartment
where is the filter located.
go to tundra solutions... all the experts are there....
yes
the fuel filter is conected to the fuel tank
Tundras do not have a cabin air filter
Take it to your dealer
There are 2 air filters on the 2008 Tundra. One under the hood and the cabin filter is behind the Glovebox.
My 2007 Toyota Tundra takes 8 quarts of 20w50 oil and the canister paper oil filter only available from Toyota for about $6.
