There are hot seasons and cold seasons because the Earth orbits around the sun yearly. Whicheverpart of the Earth is facing the sun is where the light is and where the warmth is, plus the Earthsits on a 15 degree angle. Then there is theimaginary axis that is imaginarly twind in the center of the earth.

∙ 12y agoThe reason we have seasons, is the earth has a 23.5 degree tilt. As the Earth orbits around the sun, this causes 2 things to happen. The first thing is we have intense rays in the summer, and spread out in the winter. The second thing is, we have long days in the summer, and short in the winter.

∙ 14y agoThe earth is tilted as it orbits the sun. Sometimes the lower half is closer to the Sun, so is warmer (summer) than the northern half (winter), and sometimes it is just the opposite. In between there is fall and spring. Those amount to the 4 seasons.
