They have evolved from the same ancestoral cat long ago and became different species. Just like dogs and wolves and foxes, Humans and Chimpenzees and gorilla etc.
House cats and outdoor cats have the same genesof tigers because tiger are their COUSINS--just like dogs and wolfs( digging, howling, etc.)
It all has to do with evolution. The environment that the tiger is found in required that they be the size they are. Most likely, the smaller ones could not catch enough prey to pass on their genes for size. That left the larger ones to do so. House cats (and barn cats) may have been larger since the information about them has been hard to come by. It is thought that they all came from a group called the Near Eastern Wild Cat clad (common stock). These are much smaller than the tiger, of course, but their size was not as scary to humans as a tiger would be. It is said that they domesticated themselves and found that famers did chase them away since they ate rodents that ate the famers' grains.
i think cats are a apart of the tiger family
they are cats
No. Cats are put into three different sections based on their size and tigers are in the big cat section. People may think that lions are bigger than tigers but tigers are the biggest of the big cats.
Tigers have a slightly longer average lifespan than house cats. The average lifespan of a tiger in captivity is over 20 years; indoor house cats average 15 to 18 years.
A lynx is bigger than a house cat.
Tigers are felines, and are much closer related to house cats than to canids.
Yes they do, they just live inside of a house. But big cats are also just bigger than them.
Well, according to scientific research, male tigers are bigger than female tigers. Males have always been known too be bigger than females so according to logic ( and scientific research) , male tigers are bigger than female tigers.
Yes. They are about the same size, but Tigers are bigger
the fox is bigger than cats but it depends of the size of the fox and the size of the cats you compare
It depends on what you mean by bigger. The Siberian and Bengal subspecies of tiger both average heavier and longer than lions. The Indo Chinese tiger is roughly the same weight as a lion, the other tiger subspecies are somewhat lighter than lions. The lion however, stands a bit taller at the shoulder than the Siberian or Bengal tigers.
Tigers are not the only big cats. Numerous species of wild cats are referred by that name. The four 'big' cat species are:LionsTigersLeopardsJaguar
There is no species of animal called a panther. It is a generic term that includes all cats from the genus Panthera - lions, tigers, leopards, snow leopards and jaguars.
Tigers are much more powerful. Tigers naturally are bigger and with size comes strengh. Also lions are very lazy animals, while tigers are always on the move. Tigers are also alot faster then lions.
