TOMS are a fleeting trend just like designer jeans or handbags. You are really paying for the brand not the actual quality. If TOMS were sold for their quality they would be below ten dollars. Recently, TOMS have been targeted as using their "one for one" policy just to gain popularity(since disposible cloth shoes are not the best footwear to give underprivleged chhildren in Argentina).

∙ 12y agoCompared to other GPS units, they really aren't that expensive. However, they use very advanced technology as well as maps that need to be updated frequently, so it costs a lot for the company to produce and maintain them.

because as the creator said himself, One for One. it is very inexpensive to make Toms shoes, considering they glue the sole to the bottom, but because they give one pair to Africa, I assume the money goes to paying the plane tickets and storage space.
