Are labroadors good protection dogs?

they are usually sweet but you can train htem only to be loyal to their mastersAnother answer:One reason Labs are so popular is because they're a very outgoing and friendly breed. It would go against their gentle nature to be trained to attack, and there are other breeds (like German shepherds, Rottweilers, Dobermans) much better suited to be trained at "active protection." When it comes to "passive protection," though, Labs are fantastic; quick to "raise the alarm" when something happens that they find odd or unfamiliar. A barking dog in itself (especially one as large as a full-grown Lab with a good, hefty bark) is good protection, especially from prowlers or would-be burglars, who will go elsewhere when a dog makes a fuss.
