Tropical rain forest fauna refers to the animals that live in the rain forest. Some of these are monkeys, lemurs, ocelots, snakes, and birds of many types.
In a cross section of a tropical rain forest different layers of fauna can be identified namely; Main canopy, sub canopy, understory and shrubs. Those are called strata of the forest. Apart from them there is an emergent layer which grows above the main canopy.
People would want to visit a tropical forest because they want to research the indigenous flora or fauna. They may possibly want to see what kind of stuff they can find to take pictures of.
