Forests are full of trees, and for animal and human respiration, trees are important. Plants and trees use carbon dioxide in the process of photosynthesis, the waste output being oxygen, which then supplies animals and humans with oxygen to breathe. Trees contribute towards providing breathable air for all animal species, therefore they are called the lungs of the earth.
The millions of trees in the Amazon rainforest release oxygen and take in carbon dioxide during photosynthesis. It is a major contributor to removing CO2 and replenishing oxygen in the atmosphere.
"Lungs of the world" is a catchy phrase but shows a lack of understanding of one of lungs or forests. Lungs take in air and remove oxygen and exchange it with carbon dioxide then expel it. Forests take in carbon dioxide and expel oxygen - the opposite process. Forests might be called "the air hose of the world" or "the Scuba tank of the world", but this doesn't seem to be as catchy a slogan.
In the human body the lungs are the organs that supply oxygen to the blood without oxygen in our body we cannot live.
Trees give out oxygen into the earth's atmosphere so large areas of forest ( such as rain forests ) are like lungs they supply oxygen for the earth.
Because since plants undergo photosynthesis to make glucose, they produce oxygen and release it into the air providing the oxygen for our planet
because it gives 20 percent of air to humanbeing to live
The Amazon rain forest produces 20% of the Earths oxygen. By the continued destruction of these environments we are putting our future and that of of children for ages to come at risk.
they produce oxygen
It's described as the long because the amazon rainforest is the world's number one source for oxygen and since we all use oxygen to live it acts as a lung working through our body. We need the lung to help us breathe as we do the amazon rainforest.
Forests are called the lungs of the Earth as they give us oxygen. Earth actually do not have any lung but forest acts as a lung. Like when we inhale oxygen, this oxygen goes into lungs and when we exhale carbon dioxide, this gas is exhaled from lungs. Similarly, forest exhale oxygen and inhale carbon dioxide. So, the forest acts a lung.
Heart-lung machine
Lung sacs are called, "Alvioli" (al-vee-OH-lee)
The snake's lung which is responsible for their breathing is called the "Vestigial lung."
A functional unit of lung is called an Alveolus. one functional unit of lung consists of Alveolar sac, pulmonary capillaries and bronchial capillaries.
The lung cavity is called the pleural cavity.
Pleurisy Pleurisy
The top pointed tip of the lung is the apex, while the pointed tip on the bottom of the left lung is called the lingula.
A functional unit of lung is called an Alveolus. one functional unit of lung consists of Alveolar sac, pulmonary capillaries and bronchial capillaries.
The lung is enclosed by a thin memrane called pleura
