Unconscious motives are more difficult to discover because they often give few, if any outward signs. They may be masked by conscious behaviors.

Is it okay to bathe your ferret more than average?

No it is not. A lot of the ferrets scent comes from oil produced by its skin. Bathing the ferret too often causes the skin to produce more oil to replace the oil it lost from being washed. The more you bathe your ferret, the more oil their skin produces, the more they smell. A ferret should only be bathe 2-3 times a year with special ferret shampoo.

What two animals made a ferret?

Most scientists believe that the ferret descended from the European polecat ferret (Mustela putorius) and the Steppe polecat ferret (Mustela eversmanni). It is more true to say that the ferret was domesticated from the European polecat ferret. Domestic ferrets can breed with European polecat ferrets and produce fertile offspring

When a person will not acknowledge his needs these needs will give rise to unconscious motives discuss in relation to the signifance of needs?

first of all he needs to know what is needed and not needed. his needs may not be needed right away. so he needs to hide some of his needs until he needs them. I need to explain this more. why does a person need to know his needs? if he has unconscious motives maybe he needs those to. lets say he needs to be needed. if he dosent find out that he is needed, than he will need to cry or be angry. now he has another need. all these needs just keep growing and are in relation to each other. they need each other in order to be. what more can one need?

Can you own a ferret and a snake?

You could, but they'll need to be kept apart at all times. Large and/or venomous snakes might kill and eat a ferret, whereas smaller snakes are more likely to be killed by the ferret.

Why people should or should not consider motives and goals as characteristic adaptations?

Motives and goals (which delve a bit deeper into personality than simple personailty traits) should be considered characteristic adaptations. As you probably know, the psychology of personality is divided into several "levels" of personality - the first level being dispositional traits (for example, the Big 5) and the second level being constructed of characteristic adaptations, which are similar to dispositional traits, but are more specific and changeable and are contextualized over time and as a person begins to understand their societal role. (Beginning in late/middle childhood and continuing from there.) Motives are usually considered to be part of the unconscious (traits are conscious) and goals are merely steps to satisfy those motives. Therefore, motives and goals are characteristic adaptations.Hope that helps!

Is it easy to litter box train ferrets?

Well, it depends on who you are, how busy you are, and the kind of ferret you want to keep. You can have a ferret that lives mostly in a cage, or a ferret that roams around your house/apartment and spends next to no time in a cage. However, a ferret that does live in its cage most of the time still needs to be played with and let out often, or else it could become overweight, lazy, or extremely jumpy. A ferret that lives outside its cage needs to live in an environment that is completely "ferret-proofed", or stripped of anything that could be harmful to the ferret; small, swallowable objects, escape routes, and places where it could fall or get stuck in. Also, ferrets need to be litter trained. This isn't usually particularly difficult, depending on the ferret. In addition, ferrets need to have their nails trimmed, ears cleaned, fur groomed, cage cleaned, and attention to be the best pet it can be. Overall, it sounds a lot more difficult to care for a ferret than it really is, but again, it depends on the personality of the ferret and how much time you have to spend with it.

Should you get a baby ferret or an older ferret?

A baby ferret requires a lot of attention and training, plus they are very active. An older ferret should already have training and not as active as they tend to sleep more. If you've never owned a ferret before, I would recommend getting an older, trained one. Bite and housetraining a ferret takes quite a bit of work and dedication and can be challenging for a first time ferret owner. You can find young ferrets up for adoption that have received the proper training from the shelter.
