Tap water and generally water (except specially proccessed water) can transmit electric current when the voltage is high enough. And the mains voltage (110 V for USA, 230 V for Europe) is more than high enough.
You can electrocute yourself! Water conducts electricity!
[object Object]
Water can conduct electricity ( if it is an electrolyte, as most tap water is) so you shouldn't touch electrical appliances with wet hands, or put them near water in case the water completes a circuit from the appliance, resulting in a live circuit. if you touch a live circuit that could result in electrocution.
Wires and components can still hold a charge. Or, if defective, a component may give an electrical shock. Therefore, it is always best to unplug the appliance first and make sure your hands are dry.
Dry your hands. Even then do not touch any electric appliance except on the provided handles and control knobs and switches.
with your hands
Salts and other minerals. Pure water is not conductive.
Water is a good conductor of electricity. A person with wet hands touching electrical appliances get a shock. So it is dangerous to touch an electric appliance with wet hands.

Water is a cheap source of generating Electrical Energy, But touching any electrical appliance with a wet hands is very dangerous because water is a very good conductor. so yo may have shock if you touch.

if you touch an electrical appliance with wet hands while its on it can blow
You will get an electric shock and trust me it is not a nice experience!

· Never touch the live electrical wires · Never touch electrical plugs with wet hands · Use dry or rubber soled Sholes while repairing the electrical works · Never touch the live and naked wires
If there's something wrong with the appliance its casing might carry a voltage, and as wet hands offers less resistance to elctricity it increases your risk of getting electrocuted.
Electrical installations should be inspected, tested and maintained regularly to ensure safety.Don't try to repair or install electrical wirings or appliances yourself unless you are a registered electrical worker.Don't use adaptors, plugs or extension units that do not comply with regulations.Avoid poor contacts when using plugs, adaptors or extension units and watch out for signs of overheating.Don't overload adaptors and socket outlets.Don't touch electrical appliances, sockets or switches with wet hands.Socket outlets installed inside bathrooms must comply with Electricity (Wiring) Regulations.Fixed electrical appliances should be installed by registered electrical contractor. Don't use electrical appliance with an exposed conductive part which is not earthed.Don't use defective appliances.Don't place the flexible cord of electrical appliances close to any hot object.Allow sufficient space for ventilation to prevent electrical appliances from overheating.Try to switch off electrical appliances especially those high current demand ones before leaving your premises.Unplug appliances if they will be idle for a certain period of time.If appliances operate abnormally or if there are signs of overheating, stop using, switch off power and arrange for inspection and repairs by qualified persons.
You should not leave any wire naked. You should not use low-quality and damaged wires. Don't touch any wire or socket board with wet hands/body. Don't use electrical appliances, such as hair dryers, radios, CD players, etc., near the tub or shower while bathing. Get them serviced on yearly basis. When the electric current is non-consistent,you should switch them off as they can burn/spread gases etc into the atmosphere.
i want to touch peoples hands
