Best Answer

There is no sensible reason. Wolves are not meant to be hunted. The only reasons people kill wolves is because they either like killing things as beautiful as wolves, or they think it's manly and tough. Or the wolves could be raiding livestock, but they don't know any better!

Wolves are killed because people hunted them for their fur or food
Humans doesn't like wolves because they attack domestic animals and very rarely even people.

There are many reasons:

1. Farmers and ranchers hunt them to "protect" their livestock.

2. People hunt them for no reason at all.

3. People hunt them for their fur (rarely).

4. People hunt them because they fear them.

Are wolves being hunted?

Yes, wolves were hunted by men. Not really much today, however, because most wolves are in reserves, zoos, or protected by law. In the early 1900's, gray wolves, which live up in Canada and many northern states like Minnesota, were hunted to near extinction. Now, the population is fairly high and the hunting of gray wolves is prohibited. I hope this helped! -IQ
