There are many, many, many people that answer questions on WikiAnswers. The only reason why it seems that not very many people are answering questions is because there are questions being submitted almost every 5 seconds.
it is always being revised. thousands off people all the time are answering questions that everyone is asking.
While there are paid staff that may answer questions on occasion, they are being paid for specific areas of work related to the site and its maintenance. And you can win prizes with the contests!
Mostly, contemplating one's navel is all about answering questions on Wikianswers. No, seriously, the saying really just means being introspective.
Because the school has blocked that website at your school for their own reasons. Helping kids break the rules is not what WikiAnswers is about. If we were to provide the answer to this and similar questions, this site would be blocked by the school as well. We like being available to people with questions.
Try answering the question after the joke.
The sites being blocked contain "malware" that can harm your computer. There are plenty of answers here on WikiAnswers, and most are correct.
Yes, a supervisor on WikiAnswers can indeed be blocked. If a supervisor breaks the Terms of Use agreement for WikiAnswers, he or she is in danger of being blocked from contributing to the site - just as with any other user. A normal supervisor will not have the rights to block a fellow supervisor. Community Assistants only would have that option.
It really depends what position your currently at. If you are at 90 then you have ways to go, in order to get even close to being #1.
Maybe it is because WikiAnswers likes being family safe.
The use of foul language on WikiAnswers is breaking the terms of use. Even omitting certain letters and replacing them with * % #, etc., is still classed as profanity. The posting of foul language/ profanities, anywhere on the site, is likely to result in the poster being blocked from using WikiAnswers.
It is not that hard. All you have to do is devote your time to answering questions and asking questions. Also if you have little or no black marks like warning or being blocked it can make your chances of being recognized easier but we look for people who want to make WikiAnswers a good place and that don't chat alot because a user does not become a supervisor just by chatting alone. And if you do these you might be recoginzed by a supervisor. And you might be one yourself. See Related Question below.
