Coughs are caused by a censored tickle or layer of plegm upon your lungs that needs to be cleared so a message is sent to your brain to cough out what is not anted. This is why you sometimes come up with a un-apealing greeny.

Coughing is usually a sign that the body wants to get rid of something. It can also mean an infection or other condition. If it does not go away, it should be checked by a physician.
