There are two problems with this question. (1) The Middle East is not a unity, it is composed of around 15 countries with numerous factions and minorities. It has fought itself far more often than it has fought foreign entities. (2) "Fighting Back" implies that someone has already attacked the Middle East, but does not specify who or when. This makes such an event difficult to pinpoint. Please resubmit this question clarifying these two issues.
