The master cylinder may be At Fault (internal seals bad).
The proportioning valve may be at fault (frozen).
The system may not be bled properly (air in system).
The rear wheel brake cylinders may be at fault (frozen).
Send it to midas.
Begin by removing the tire and wheel from your 2000 Chevy Lumina. Remove the brake spring and the break caliper. The rear brakes will come off.

I'm going to bet they are drum style brakes. I have a 1999 Luminia, and they are drums on it.

Our 1999 Chevy Lumina car - 3.1L at 150k miles has been very reliable, to date replaced alternator, reg tune up items (belt, hoses, ect...) and brakes.
Remove the tire and wheel from your 1993 Chevy Lumina. Remove the brake assembly spring and the brake caliper. The brake assembly will come off. Tap on the rotor with a hammer or mallet. The rotor will slide off. Reverse the process to change the new rotor and brakes.
Chevy Lumina has not the carborator.
