Why aren't fish and chip shops open on Sunday's in the Kent area?
There is no reason.
There used to be a law set in 1950 that meant they couldn't, however the Sunday trading law 1994 revoked it.
So they could open if they want to, more likely lack of customers wanting to purchase on a Sunday makes it non-viable.
