Why aren't you allowed to by alchol at 18 but you can drink it in a night club that age?

Umm I don't know what club you're going to but it is illegal to buy, consume, or have alcohol until 21. The only exception is that is SOME states you can have a drink if you are underage if you are with your parents. However, even if the state allows it it is still up to the establishment whether or not they honor that law or not.
