You ask your teacher for many reasons! Here are some good ones:

  • Your teacher knows the material. Whatever they just taught in class, they understand it. If you don't understand it, you should ask the teacher.
  • Your teacher is more mature than you are. Whatever problem you are having, the teacher is going to be able to see that problem from a more mature and rational viewpoint, and can give you better advice than another student would
  • Your teacher has more experience than you do. Whatever problem you are having, the teacher has had the same thing or a similar thing happen either to them or to someone they know closely! Remember that your teachers were your age once!
