I have a 2002 Ford sport Trac I have a code of P0320. Do you know the part number to fix this? Seems when the engine warms up, during driving, the truck stalls & sputters & then quits when I brake or come to a full stop. It starts right up again, then stalls when shifted into drive. Had fuel module replaced & airflow cleaned. What else can it be? Was told by a handheld device, was P0320.
Sounds like vapor lock. The fuel in the line to the carburetor is vaporizing before it enters the engine.
Sounds like not enough fuel is reaching the engine, either through a blockage somewhere or bad adjustment, the additional weight of a more full tank likely creates enough pressure to get enough fuel into the engine, when it becomes so low, there is no longer enough fuel to reach it.
Full pump is going out, or you have water in your tank. Or you need to replace the full filer(which you can find under the back seat).
change your gas filter
1988 buick lasabre stalls and sputters like out of gas not all the time though with full or half tank don't matter....i changed the fuel filter..i added lucas injector cleaner...i just changed the water pump that went seemed to run fine after for 1 day then started acting up again the fuel pump in tank seems to be louder not sure what to change next maybe a sensor ?
I am having the same problem. I had the fuel pump replaced and the problem was solved, but now the car stalls when I make a left turn. the engine light still goes on, but not when the gas tank is full. I suspect something malfunctioning in the gas tank, or in the fuel delivery system itself.
The idle solonoid is probably hanging. Remove it from the throtle body and clean it. 240SX? remove the AIV box and plug up the hoses
Same thing happened to me. The petcock valve (Fuel Reserve-On/Off) in the tank was full of rust so I cleaned and all was well. Also, I changed the Fuel Filter. Runs Great now.
you should check the fuel pressure and volume by preforming a fuel systems test. then if it is satisfactory to the specifications of the repair manual, test the injectors, resistance test and balance test.
what full form of APDV engine
Check Engine lights can come on for a variety of different reasons. It could be something as simple as the gas cap is not tight enough or it could mean you have a cylinder misfire. The check engine light usually comes on for some sort of emission problem. With the vehicle stalling out especially at idle it could be something like a tps sensor. The only way to tell is to take it to a full service garage or a dealer and have them hook the vehicle up to a code reader to find out why the light is on. But the reason that the light is on is probably the same reason that the car stalls out while idling. You may want to check the engine vacuum lines for a direct leak to atmosphere. This can stall an engine when at idle but not at driving speeds.
