One does not have to be an atheist to believe this.
With the exception of some helium, all atoms heavier than hydrogen were made by the thermonuclear reactions of stars. That would include the matter that makes up our bodies. As to nitrogen: We take in nitrogen from the food we eat. The nitrogen in our bodies returns to the environment when we excrete and when our bodies decay. That nitrogen gets taken up by planets and later animals, while some is returned to the atmosphere.

What is the movement of nitrogen through the ecosystem?

The nitrogen cycle is the process by which nitrogen is converted between its various chemical forms. This transformation can be carried out via both biological and non-biological processes.Nitogen fixing bacteria takes nitrogen from the air and make it available to plants. The plants take up the nitrogen and are eaten by animals.Animals use nitrogen to make proteins.Animals die and decompose, the nitrogen goes back into the soil.Denitrifiying bacteria put the nitrogen back into the atmosphere.

Why is the water cycle in this order?

There is no real way of explaining why it is like this, it just is, in theory it is because it is linked to the nitrogen cycle, but I don't think they have even researched this.
