Because Pugs are the best companions EVER! They are so smart, and have the best personality. Once you get one, you become addicted to them, garenteed! They do snore, so if you're a light sleeper, don't have them sleep with you. They also shed, but that's expected from dogs, right? Their snuffles and snorts make them unique, and cuter than ever! You will not regret getting a Pug Dog!
and because they are the sweetest little things ever!!! take it from someone who has four... once you get one, you fall in love. they are like pringles. some of them tend to be fat though... BUT IT IS SO WORTH IT!!!

∙ 14y agoI have a puggle, which is a pug-beagle mix. He is great with my 1 year old niece. She crawls all over him and pulls on his ears and tail and he hasn't even growled at her. He was housebroken easily in less than a month. I don't know if a full blooded pug will act the same, but if my puggle is any indication, they make great inside family pets. However, my friends who own a pug have warned me that they like to chew on things, so if you do purchase a pug, you can get a bitter-tasting spray at Wal-mart to keeep them from chewing on important things.

∙ 14y agoMost People who decide to breed Pugs do it simply because they love Pugs. A different more goal-orientated perspective of a pug breeder might be to breed their show quality pug dogs in the hopes of siring a champion- that alone would make all the effort that goes into breeding pugs worth it. Lastly, another yet strongly disapproved reason why people breed pugs is for the money.
