Why buy a MacBook instead of Windows based laptop?

When you buy a mac it doesn't come with a lot of useless software that lower end computers seem to. It comes with easy to use photo/movie editing software as standard , and instant access to iTunes. A common mistake is that macs cost more when compared to pcs , however when you compare macbook to a dell xps with similar specs they are about the same price. The Mac Os takes up less memory then vista and is easy to use. Both are good but that's some of the reasons people choose mac.

Dell XPS 15z Laptop ($999):

2.3ghz i5 processor

6gb RAM

500gb Hard drive

NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M w/ 1gb Graphics card

MacBook Air ($999):

1.6 ghz i5 processor

2gb RAM

64 gb Hard drive (you read that right)

Intel HD 3000 w/ 256 mb Graphics card

So if you bought a Dell XPS 15z, you'd get a much faster processor, 4 extra gb of ram, and almost 8 times as much room on the hard drive, and.

Ultimately, its a matter of preference, but you cant say that you can get an equally good mac for the same price as a windows laptop - period.
