This usually occurs if you are using a retail disc on a system that uses SATA instead of IDE. Windows XP has no built-in support for SATA drives. The quickest workaround is to switch the controller mode in the BIOS to "Legacy" or "IDE emulation."
If the BIOS cant detect it then the HDD is damaged or not properly installed, if it can and windows xp cant install, then during startup press F2 Go to Advanced > SATA (Serial-ATA) Controller Change it value from Enhanced to Compatible.
hello, you cant downgrade an operating system, if u insert the windows xp disk into your vista ultimate u will get this error message: Windows detects that you have inserted an older operating system into drive whatever, setup is cancelled. so u cant downgrade an operating system....sorry
The hard drive D: is usually the recovery drive for most Windows operating systems. It's best to stay away from that drive if it is.
If you are sure you want to delete the windows xp partition then you can use the windows CD to do the job.Boot the machine with the CD in the drive and you should get the option to format the drive.Just be sure this is what you want as you will lose all your data stored on the drive.
Well if you haven't installed a hard drive, there's nothing else for the computer to do.
You cant!
u simply cant reformat your hard drive while running windows on that drive, what i mean is u cant reformat the hard drive if it is that verry drive that u are running at the momnet insted u need a copy of windows, put the disc in the CD drive and restart your computer. press f2 i think when it boot's to access the boot menu, boot from CD. u can delete the current partition and create a new one, also u can reformat the drive with your file system of choice, most likely ntfs. hope this helps
you cant just remove one...you would have to reformat the whole hard drive, wipe it clean and then reinstall a fresh copy of windows...
you cant
If you do not have a DVD drive (and cant get one to operate from the BIOS) then you will need to do it over a network if your bios wont let you do that, you might be screwed.
you cant lol
i cant setup gods war
